IPL 2024: Virat Kohli's big feat as an opener, completed 4000 runs in IPL, and made a place in Dhawan-Warner's club.

The 41st match of IPL 2024 was played on Thursday between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore. In this match, RCB broke the fort of SRH. Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar performed strongly while batting. Both scored quick half-centuries. Interestingly, King Kohli completed 4000 runs in IPL as an opening batsman.


 

In the match against Hyderabad, RCB scored 206 runs after losing seven wickets in 20 overs. In response, Sunrisers could score only 171 runs after losing eight wickets in 20 overs. King Kohli played a brilliant inning of 51 runs in 43 balls. During this, four fours and one six came from his bat. This is his fourth half-century this season. Whereas, Patidar faced only 20 balls and played a stormy inning of 50 runs. This was his third half-century of the season with his bat.


 

 

Kohli became the batsman to score 4000+ runs

King Kohli made a big record as an opener for RCB. He completed 4000 runs. The 35-year-old player has scored 4041 runs in IPL as an opening batsman. With this, he joined the club of Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner. The captain of Punjab Kings is on top in this matter. He has scored 6362 runs so far. At the same time, Delhi Capitals' star batsman Warner has 5909 runs in his name. In this case, the name of veteran batsman Chris Gayle is recorded at third place, who has scored 4480 runs. Virat is at number four on this list.


 

Kohli completed 400+ runs for the 10th time in IPL

Interestingly, for the 10th consecutive time since 2011, Virat Kohli has managed to score 400+ runs. He became the first batsman to do so. In the year 2016, he scored the highest number of 973 runs, this is the highest number of runs scored by a batsman in a season in the history of IPL.
