30 monks infected, one Mahamandaleshwar killed

In Haridwar Kumbh, the effect of crowds has also started showing. Here also 30 saints have been found infected with corona. This is the official figure, but the number of infected monks may be much higher. Health officials say that RT-PCR tests of sadhus are being done in different akharas. Testing will be extended from April 17.

 

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Mahamandaleshwar Kapil Devdas (65) of the All India Shri Panch Nirvani Akhara died. Mahamandaleshwar Covid was found infected in the investigation. He had trouble breathing. There was also a high fever for several days. He was in the Kumbh Mela itself. Mahamandaleshwar's health deteriorated suddenly on 12 April, after which he was admitted to the hospital in Dehradun.

 

Niranjani Akhara announced to end the fair

Because of the increasing cases of Corona, Secretary of the Niranjani Akhand Ravindra Puri announced 15 days ago that the Kumbh Mela is over for him. Puri has stated that the main royal bath of Kumbh is complete and the saints and saints of his arena show signs of coronavirus.

 

Because of the situation of Corona, after the Niranjani Arena, the rest of the Saints are also able to announce the end of Kumbh. The time of Kumbh Mela in Haridwar is till 30 April. Due to Corona, this year Kumbh Mela was started from April 1 instead of January.

On Thursday, 2 lakh new cases of the corona were reported in the country. This is the largest single-day figure since the epidemic began. In a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, DGP Ashok Kumar said that the main bath of Kumbh has ended on Wednesday. For this reason, the force is no longer needed here.
