Covid-19 India: 19,406 new cases of corona in the country, Karnataka CM Bommai also infected

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, 19,406 new cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 19,928 people have been cured.

 

Infection rate close to five percent

 

According to the report released by the Ministry of Health, the daily infection rate of corona in the country has reached 4.96 percent. At the same time, the number of active corona patients reached 1,34,793. Apart from this, the number of deaths due to corona in the country so far has reached 526649, while the number of people recovering from corona has reached 43465552.

 

Karnataka CM corona infected

 

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has also been found corona infected. He gave this information through Twitter. He wrote, that on getting mild symptoms, he got the corona tested, in which the infection has been confirmed in him. CM further told that he has isolated himself. All the people who have come in contact with him in the last few days, get their corona test done. Apart from this, he has also postponed his Delhi trip.

 

BA.2.5 found in ten states

 

Omicron's new sub-form BA.2.5 has been identified in ten states of the country. It has many mutations in its spike protein structure, due to which it can reduce antibody levels. Although like Delta it can be effective or not? At the moment there is no information about it. Insacog said, through genome sequencing, his team is monitoring the changes in the coronavirus in India. There has been no change in the admission rate of infected patients in the hospitals of the country even after getting the BA 2.5 sub-form. Experts believe that this is relief news for the present time. Insacog's network has 54 laboratories in the country, where genome sequencing is being done by taking samples of corona-infected patients.

Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
