Jairam Ramesh wrote that 'G20 was formed in 1999. 19 countries and the European Union are its members. Since its formation till now, the G20 summit has been organized in 17 countries alternately and now it is India's number.

After this, the Congress leader gave examples of the events held in the Congress government and said that 'we should remember that in 1983, the Non-Aligned Summit of more than 100 countries and after that, the Commonwealth countries' summit has been successfully organized in this New Delhi. But the then government did not use those opportunities for electoral gains. Targeting PM Modi, Jairam Ramesh wrote that 'on 5 April 2014, he had described Narendra Modi as a great event manager. To divert the attention of the public, the Prime Minister is doing event management only.
