Lucknow Supergiants all-rounder Marcus Stoinis shattered the pride of Chennai Super Kings in the 39th match of IPL 2024 on Tuesday. CSK, which had an excellent record on its home ground, suffered a 6-wicket defeat by LSG with 3 balls remaining in a high-scoring match.
In the match played at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, CSK batted first and with the help of a century from captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (108*) scored 210/4 in 20 overs. Lucknow counter-attacked on the strength of Stoinis' innings and achieved the target by losing four wickets in 19.3 overs.

Veeru-Sanju left behind
Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag is in third place in terms of making the highest individual score while chasing in IPL history. Veeru had scored 119 runs against Deccan Chargers in 2011.
