
Arjun Tendulkar, son of former India batsman Sachin Tendulkar, is engaged. According to an India Today report, Arjun is engaged to Saaniya Chandhok. Saaniya Chandhok is the granddaughter of famous Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. The Ghai family is well known in the hospitality and food sector, which owns the Intercontinental Hotel and ice cream brand Brooklyn Creamery.
According to the report, Arjun and Saaniya Chandhok got engaged in a private event attended by close friends and members of both the families. However, no official announcement or statement of the engagement has been issued by the Tendulkar and Ghai family yet.
Arjun's cricket career
25-year-old Arjun is a left-arm fast bowler and all-rounder who represents Goa in domestic cricket and also plays for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He started his domestic career with Mumbai in the 2020/21 season, where he made his debut in a T20 match against Haryana. Earlier, he represented Mumbai at the junior level and made it to India's Under-19 team. In the 2022/23 domestic season, he moved to Goa, where he made his first-class and List A debuts.
In the red-ball format, Arjun has featured in 17 matches, scoring 532 runs including a century and two half-centuries and taking 37 wickets, including one five-wicket haul and two four-wicket hauls. In List A cricket for Goa, he has played 17 matches and scored 76 runs in nine innings. In the IPL, he has bowled 73 balls in five matches for the Mumbai Indians and taken three wickets at an average of 38.00, with his best performance being one wicket for nine runs. He has maintained an economy rate of 9.36 and a strike rate of 24.3.
