New Delhi, Feb 4 (IANS) Jaskirat Kaur Mann, named by the AAP Volunteer Action Manch (AVAM) as one of the conduits of the Aam Aadmi Party's poll fund, Wednesday sent a defamation notice to AVAM president Gopal Goyal.
Mann, an Indian citizen living in Canada, said Goyal has a personal vendetta against the AAP. She is an AAP supporter, therefore Goyal is deliberately spreading false information against her, Mann said.
Mann sent the notice through her lawyer S.M. Anis.
Goyal has alleged that Mann has received a donation for the AAP of Canadian dollars 1,000 from Gagan Blueberry Growers Ltd.
Anis, however, described the claim as absolutely false and said it was concert effort to defame his client as she never encashed the cheque.
"Your (Goyal) reckless and malicious statements have caused much damage and injury to the reputation of my client who is a respectable citizen of India," Anis said in the notice.
The notice asked Goyal to withdraw his statement and also sought Goyal's unconditional apology to Mann.
