There should be no discrimination against them.

Court rejects the Central Government's petition

At the same time, the court said that women cannot be banned on gender grounds. With this, the Supreme Court rejected the Central Government's petition citing the physical limitations of women officers.

Center has already said the decision of the court is acceptable

However, it has already been said by the government that they are ready to accept whatever the court's decision will be. Let us know that the Supreme Court has already reprimanded the Central Government regarding this matter. While reprimanding the central government, the court said that it is very wrong to deprive women officers of opportunity by giving social and mental reasons. This is a discriminatory attitude with him. It will not be tolerated at all.

At the same time, Minister of State for Defense Shripad Naik had said that whatever the order of the Supreme Court will be, the government will take it seriously. The Supreme Court had also said that women should be deployed at command posts like men.

For information, let us know that in February, the Supreme Court gave a big decision regarding women officers in the Indian Army. Permanent commission to women in the army was approved. A bench of Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice DY Chandrachud had said that this decision would change the mindset. With this, the Supreme Court gave its approval to the decision of the High Court and approved the permanent commission in the army.
