India overtakes America in terms of speed of vaccination, know- how many have received vaccine so far

New Delhi (Online Desk). India has also accelerated the process of vaccination because of the rise in coronavirus infection. According to government data, so far, more than 8.70 crore (8,70,77,474) people have been given the dose of Covid-19 vaccine. In this way, India has also left the US behind in terms of speed of vaccination. According to the data for the last 24 hours, the number of people who have been vaccinated so far includes 33 lakh people from Ladakh.

 

According to the information shared by the government, 89,63,724 health workers have been given the first dose of vaccine so far, while the number of health workers taking both doses of vaccine has reached 53,94913. Talking of the frontline workers facing the epidemic, the number of the first dose of vaccine has reached 97,312826 and the number of those taking both doses has reached 4312826. Similarly, 21860709 people aged 45-59 have been given the first dose of vaccine so far, while the number of recipients of both doses is 431933. In this series, the first dose of vaccine has been given to 5375953 people above the age of 60 years and the second dose of 1000787 vaccine has also been given. All these figures are up to seven o'clock on the morning of 7 April.

 

Let us tell you that for the second time in the last 24 hours in India, more than one lakh new cases have been reported. A total of 115736 new cases have been reported during the last 24 hours. More than 80 percent of the country's cases have been reported from only eight states, including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. A maximum number of 55469 cases in Maharashtra has been reported during the last 24 hours. After this, 9921 cases have been reported in Chhattisgarh and 6150 in Karnataka.

 

Talking about the active cases of corona in India, it has reached 843473. The recovery rate of corona cases in India has been much better since the beginning. According to government figures, this rate is more than 92 percent. So far, 11792135 patients have been cured in India. Talk about the last 24 hours 59856 patients have been discharged from the hospital, while 630 patients have died during the last 24 hours. Most of these deaths have been reported from Maharashtra.
