Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its second list of candidates today (9 December). Assembly elections in Delhi can be held in February, before that Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP has intensified preparations. As part of this exercise, another list of candidates has come. 20 candidates have been fielded in it.
In this list of AAP, Manish Sisodia's seat has been changed. He has been given a ticket from Jangpura seat instead of Patparganj. Apart from this, Rakhi Birlan's seat has also been changed. At the same time, teacher Awadh Ojha, who recently joined AAP, has been given a ticket from Patparganj's seat.
In the second list, the party has also made candidates of many faces who recently joined AAP. Jitendra Singh Shanti's name is also included in this.

AAP released its first list in November, in which it gave a chance to 11 candidates. Among them, six are leaders who have recently left Congress or BJP and joined Kejriwal's party, while three outgoing MLAs were given tickets, while three are candidates who lost the last election. Still, AAP has shown faith in them and given them tickets.
Anil Jha, BB Tyagi, Veer Singh Dhingan, Brahm Singh Tanwar, Zubair Chaudhary, and Somesh Shaukeen joined AAP recently. Instead of his old leaders, Kejriwal has shown faith in leaders who have come from other parties.

AAP maintained its excellent performance of 2015 in 2020 as well. Although its seats decreased a bit, it still came to power with a huge majority. AAP had won 67 seats in 2015 and 62 seats in 2020.
