This was announced on Sunday.

On the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, March 7 is celebrated as Jan Aushadhi Diwas every year to increase awareness about the scheme and promote generic medicines. Like previous years, week-long events have been planned at various locations across the country from March 1 to 7.

Health camps are organized at 500 Jan Aushadhi Kendras.

According to the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the second day of the 7th Jan Aushadhi Week started with a morning visit to heritage sites of 25 different monuments across the country. Health camps were organized at Jan Aushadhi Kendras at 500 different locations across the country to take care of senior citizens and preserve the traditions and cultures of the country.

Checkups in camps

Various types of medical checkups including BP, sugar, free consultation, etc. were conducted in these health camps to spread awareness about the importance of health and the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana. On Sunday, 25 heritage walks were organized across the country, including Hauz Khas in New Delhi.
