These days, the problem of air pollution is being seen in many cities in North India. The air in many cities has become toxic. His AQI has become so high that even breathing has become difficult. The air quality in terms of AQI is very poor in the capital Delhi and nearby cities. On the other hand, many cities of the state are included in the list of worst AQI due to stubble smoke in Punjab. The level of pollution in Delhi is increasing year after year. Talking about the AQI of Delhi, it has crossed the level of 400.
People are facing problems due to increasing pollution. Meanwhile, health experts have advised people to take small measures to avoid this pollution. He says that if someone does not have a mask while coming out of this terrible pollution, then wet his handkerchief or any other cloth and cover his nose and mouth properly. This wet handkerchief will act as a mask and protect you from pollution.
In a discussion with Amar Ujala, Professor, Director of Community Medicine of Safdarjung Hospital, Dr. Jugal Kishore says that people should stay indoors as much as possible to avoid air pollution. You should go out only if it is necessary. Everyone needs to wear a mask even while going out so that the pollutants cannot reach their body through breathing. In this era of severe pollution, asthma patients need to take special care. In case of any problem, a doctor should be contacted. Apart from taking medicines on time, windows and doors of the house should be kept closed. If possible, an air purifier should be installed in the house. If a person is having irritation in the eyes due to air pollution, then they should wash their eyes frequently with clean water. If there is excessive irritation, then eye drops should be used on the advice of the doctor.
Dr. Kishor says that the biggest effect of this air pollution is visible on the elderly and young children. However, many people are also facing problems like irritation in the eyes and allergies. In the meantime, if a person has to go out every day, then he needs special attention on some things. Masks should be used while going out. If someone does not have a mask, they can use their handkerchief or wet cloth. A wet handkerchief or wet cloth will act as a mask and protect you from contamination. But due to the changing weather do not use a wet cloth for a long time. You can use it only when necessary.
The air getting worse in Delhi
Meanwhile, the air quality continues to decline due to pollution in Delhi-NCR. According to SAFAR, at present, the AQI is 529 in Noida, 478 in Gurugram, and 534 around Dhirpur. Delhi's total AQI is currently recorded at 431. The air of Delhi-NCR continues to remain in a severe category. During this, water was also sprinkled in the Sarai Kale Khan area of Delhi. Earlier on Friday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the increasing pollution in Delhi and that primary schools in Delhi will be closed from Saturday. Along with this, outdoor activities are also being stopped for all classes above class five.
CM Kejriwal said that pollution has increased in Delhi. The problem of air pollution is not only in Delhi, but the air of many cities of North India has become bad. Only Aam Aadmi Party is not responsible for pollution. The central government has to come forward to solve this problem. We are responsible for the stubble of Punjab. The stubble problem will be solved by next year. Abusing Kejriwal will not clear the air. We need to plan together. Kejriwal said that we are considering odd-even. It will be implemented if needed.
