CM MK Stalin demands the Center to remove Hindi from government offices, appeals to make Tamil the official language.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has made an absurd demand to remove official language Hindi from central government offices. He says that this has happened due to the decisions of the BJP. He said that instead of imposing Hindi, Tamil should be made the 'official' language. He alleged that instead of adopting symbolic methods like Sengol, priority should be given to the development of Tamil Nadu.

CM Stalin on Wednesday criticized the central government in a post on X, saying that it only claims to support Tamil culture. If the BJP claims that the Hon'ble PM really loves Tamil. If so, then why is it not reflected in his work.

"PM Modi should take steps in support of Tamil. He should take concrete steps to evict Hindi from central government offices and make Tamil the 'official' language in its place. He should make Tamil the official language along with Hindi and spend extra money on Tamil instead of a dead language like Sanskrit. Instead of promoting Sanskrit and Hindi in Tamil Nadu, spend on Tamil." CM MK Stalin

52.83 crore people speak Hindi

It is noteworthy that according to the 2011 census report, there are 121 languages and 270 mother tongues in India. According to the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, out of these 121 languages, only 22 Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, and Tamil have the status of the official language of the country. Hindi is the most spoken Indian language in the country which is spoken by 52.83 crore people. In other words, 43.63 percent of the total population speaks Hindi. The second and third most spoken languages are Bengali and Marathi respectively.

Stalin is being hypocritical on Hindi: Annamalai

In Tamil Nadu, BJP President K. Annamalai hit back at Chief Minister MK Stalin and said that he is being hypocritical by repeatedly attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the pretext of Hindi. Instead of telling what you have done so far for the promotion of our Tamil language, you are running away to other topics by making excuses.
