Sri Lankan great spinner Muttiah Muralitharan says current Indian coach Rahul Dravid is included in the list of great batsmen who could not find a way to read his ball. Muralitharan said during an event that many of India's great batsmen like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Gautam Gambhir could read his ball but Dravid could not do so.
During the trailer launch of the film '800' based on his life, Muralitharan said - He (Sachin Tendulkar) used to read my ball very well, but not many players could do so. (Brian) Lara was also successful in this, but he too could not hit my balls.
Great cricketer Tendulkar was also present on this occasion. Muralitharan, a 51-year-old former Sri Lankan player, holds the record for taking the most 800 wickets in 133 Test cricket. He retired from Test cricket in 2010. Muralitharan has taken 534 wickets in 350 ODIs and 13 wickets in 12 T20s. He married Madimalar Ramamurthy of Chennai in March 2015.
