Rs 20 lakh will be given to the victim's family: Union Minister.

On the roof collapse incident at Delhi Airport T-1, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu said, "Sadly, one person lost his life in this incident. We will give an ex-gratia of Rs 20 lakh to the victim's family, and all the injured will get Rs 3 lakh each.

"I am a little surprised that the opposition wants to do politics on such an issue and is saying that this is the terminal inaugurated by PM Modi, but they are spreading false news," he added.

Opposition setting a wrong example: Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu

PM Modi inaugurated a building in the other terminal and it is intact. The building whose roof has collapsed is an old building inaugurated in 2009. It is a 15-year-old building. Using this situation to take a dig at the government is not a good example."

Passengers will get a refund

Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu said, "The incident at Delhi airport is very sad. We have taken the situation under control. Terminal 1 is completely closed. All aircraft movements have been shifted to Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. People whose flights have been canceled are either being refunded or given another flight. We will issue a circular to refund people within 7 days. We have set up war rooms at Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu further said that I have issued a circular instructing airlines not to increase airfares. We do not want such an incident to happen again, so we have called a special team from the structural department of IIT Delhi. They will give a preliminary inspection report, based on which necessary action will be taken. To ensure that we are getting structural preliminary inspection done at all airports, we have asked for a report from all airports across the country within 2-5 days. Is.
