The contest will be very interesting in Maharashtra.

This time the assembly elections in Maharashtra are going to be very interesting. Actually, after splitting into two factions, Shiv Sena and NCP will face each other in the assembly elections for the first time. While the Shiv Sena of the Uddhav faction and the NCP of the Sharad Pawar faction will contest the elections under the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, the Shiv Sena of the Shinde faction and the NCP of the Ajit Pawar faction will contest the elections under the Mahayuti alliance.

Let us tell you that in the Lok Sabha elections held four months ago, the Maha Vikas Aghadi performed very well and won 30 out of 48 seats. At the same time, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance had won only 17 seats. However, after winning the elections in Haryana, the enthusiasm of the BJP will be high again.

Let us tell you that at present, out of the total 288 assembly seats in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, the Mahayuti alliance has 218 seats. BJP (106), Shiv Sena (40), NCP (40), BVA (3), PJP (2), MNS (1), RSP (1), PWPI (1), JSS (1) and Independents (12).

At the same time, the Maha Aghadi i.e. the opposition has 77 seats. Apart from this, four MLAs have not supported any alliance. One seat is vacant.

Elections may be held in fewer phases in Jharkhand.

Elections for the 81 seats of the Jharkhand Assembly (Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024) can be held in two or three phases. However, last time in the year 2019, assembly elections were held in 5 phases. Elections in Jharkhand can be held after November 15.

When the Election Commission visited Jharkhand, all the political parties had suggested that the elections should be held only after Chhath Puja Birsa Jayanti and State Foundation Day. Also, everyone had suggested to the Commission to conduct elections in minimum phases.

Seats have not been announced yet.

Let us tell you that today the Election Commission will announce the assembly elections, but till now neither NDA nor I.N.D.I.A has officially announced seat sharing in both states.

BJP has held meetings with its allies several times, but till now consensus has not been reached with the constituent parties regarding the distribution of seats. At the same time, the situation of the Indi alliance is also the same.
