Several district courts across India received bomb threats via email on Thursday. This includes courts in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. The bomb threats caused widespread panic.

Due to security concerns, all court premises were immediately evacuated. Judges, lawyers, staff, and citizens present in the courts were safely escorted out.

Bomb threats received by three district courts in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh

The Bilaspur and Rajnandgaon district courts in Chhattisgarh and the Rewa district court in Madhya Pradesh received threatening emails. Upon receiving the information, the police and bomb disposal squads of the respective districts reached the spot and began a thorough search of the entire premises.

The investigation is also being conducted with the help of dog squads. Currently, there has been no official confirmation of any suspicious object being found in any of the courts.

According to police officials, the threat was made via email. The cyber cell is being used to identify the sender and their location. Initial investigations suggest it may be an attempt to spread rumors or create panic, although security agencies are not ruling out any possibility.

Security arrangements have been further tightened in all three districts. Normal court proceedings may be affected until further notice. Police say that a clear picture of the situation will be provided only after the investigation is complete.

The cyber cell has also been engaged to investigate the technical aspects of the threatening email, including its origin and the IP address used.

Bomb threats in several district courts of Bihar

Bomb threats were also received by the district courts of Patna, Gaya, and Kishanganj in Bihar. In Patna, an email sent by an unknown person claimed that RDX explosives had been planted in the court premises, leading to a significant increase in security.

Upon receiving the information, the District Judge immediately issued orders, and the entire Civil Court complex was evacuated. Judges, lawyers, staff, and the general public present on the premises were safely evacuated, and no one is being allowed to enter the building.

The Pirbahore police station team immediately reached the spot and has started an investigation. Along with the police, security agencies have also joined the investigation, and the search is ongoing in the court premises. The police are taking the threatening email seriously and have covered all aspects of security.

Meanwhile, in Gaya Civil Court, following a bomb threat, the district administration evacuated the court campus as a precautionary measure. The Gaya court has been turned into a police camp. The bomb disposal squad has been called. Further action will be taken after the bomb disposal squad arrives. There has been no official confirmation of a bomb being present.

According to sources, the Gaya District Sessions Judge's official email ID received a message about a bomb in the court. All the gates of the court premises have been closed.

In addition, a bomb threat at the Kishanganj District Court also created a chaotic situation. All the gates of the court premises have been closed. SP Sagar Kumar has reached the court.

Threat to blow up the Himachal High Court

The Himachal Pradesh High Court received a threat to blow it up with a bomb. The threat came via the High Court's official email. Following this, the police and administration immediately swung into action. The bomb disposal squad team reached the spot. Every part of the High Court was thoroughly searched.

The premises were evacuated, and all the staff and lawyers came out of the court premises. The police and bomb squad team searched every nook and cranny of the court premises. The police did not find any clues.

Panic in Punjab

Panic also spread in various district courts of Punjab due to rumors of bomb threats. After Rupnagar, Sri Anandpur Sahib, and Firozpur, the Moga District Court has also received a bomb threat via email. As a precautionary measure, the police administration immediately took action and evacuated the entire court premises. Meanwhile, a mock drill has been started in Ludhiana.
