Assembly elections are going to be held in Delhi. For which the Election Commission released the final voter list on Monday. This time more than one crore 55 lakh voters will cast their vote.
According to the Election Commission, there are a total of 1,55,24,858 voters in the final voter list of Delhi Assembly elections. Which includes 83 lakh male and 71 lakh female voters. After the release of the final voter list, the election dates can be announced soon.

Several meetings are going on by the Election Commission. It is being told that the election date can be announced between 6 and 10 January. However, no information has been given by the Chief Electoral Officer's office of Delhi on the dates yet.
The term of the Delhi Assembly is ending in February.
The term of the Legislative Assembly is till February 23, 2025. Before this, elections are to be held to constitute the Delhi Legislative Assembly. For this, preparations are being made by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi.
Sources say that the dates for the elections will be announced between the first or second week of January instead of December. Talking about the last election, the dates were announced on 6 January 2020. A minimum of 35 days is required for the process of assembly elections of any state. In such a situation, after the announcement of elections between 6 to 10 January, minimum time will be available.
The Chief Election Commissioner is retiring on February 18
Election Commission Commissioner Rajiv Kumar is retiring on February 18 next year. In such a situation, it is quite likely that the assembly elections will be held before February 18. However, it will be confirmed only after the announcement of the dates. An official of the Chief Electoral Officer's office said that the Election Commissioner has held a meeting with all the concerned officials including political parties. Also, a review meeting has also been held.
