Delhi NCR Rain: Weather turned in Delhi-NCR, rains and strong winds at midnight

Delhi NCR received rain with strong winds on Monday (October 06, 2025). Earlier, the Meteorological Department had also predicted torrential rains.

 

The Indian Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for Delhi and the surrounding areas. On the night between Sunday and Monday, there were chances of heavy rains in many areas of Delhi-NCR and winds at a speed of 10 km per hour.

 

What did the Meteorological Department say?

 

If the Meteorological Department is to be believed, then there was a possibility of heavy rains, storms, electricity, and strong winds in northwest India. Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh, West Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan may rain.

 

Apart from this, hailstorms were also expected at single places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan. Also, during the next 2 days from October 8, the minimum temperature in northwest India was expected to fall to 4-5 degrees Celsius.

 

The Meteorological Department released a Yellow alert.

The Meteorological Department issued a Yellow alert, which means the weather may deteriorate. In such a situation, the residents are advised to be vigilant and keep an eye on the latest weather updates. Especially during the journey, caution is taken about taking away from electric poles and trees, and if possible, then staying indoors.
