Given the increasing cases of dengue in the country, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has given orders to curb the mosquito-borne disease. He directed officials to remain fully prepared and strengthen preventive measures.

The Health Ministry said in a statement that Mandaviya chaired a high-level review meeting. During this, he was given information about the situation of dengue across the country.

According to the statement, the central government has provided all necessary assistance to the states, including testing kits. Financial assistance has also been provided for other works including fogging. The Union Minister urged the states to follow the guidelines issued by the Center for Prevention and Control of Dengue.

These measures can reduce the risk

Do not allow water to accumulate nearby. If you are not using the cooler, keep it dry.

Wear full-sleeved clothes. Use mosquito nets and repellents for protection.

Do not use any other medicine on your own except paracetamol.

People who use Nimuslide etc. should avoid them. Sponging should be done automatically.

If you have a fever, reduce it with paracetamol and use plenty of water.

If there is no heart or kidney problem, then definitely drink three to four liters of water.

Due to the lack of water in the blood, platelets get damaged more. This may reduce blood pressure.

If blood spots are forming or bleeding is occurring, there is a sharp drop in BP. Get admitted to hospital.

Even if platelets have become less than 50 thousand, be admitted to the hospital and start treatment under the supervision of the doctor.

Eat healthy and quality food. If you eat healthy food and have good immunity and a healthy lifestyle, you will get well soon.

Stay away from stress and get good sleep.
