Virat wrote in his post, 'For the first time in Test cricket, I wore the baggy blue jersey 14 years ago. Honestly, I never thought that this format would take me on such a journey. It tested me, gave me recognition, and taught me lessons that I will carry with me for life. Playing in the white jersey is a very special and personal experience for me. The hard work, the long days, the little moments that no one sees, but they stay with you forever. When I am walking away from this format, it is not easy, but it feels right at the moment. I have given my all in it, and it has given me more than I expected. I am grateful to the game, to the people playing on the field, and to everyone who has taken me forward on this journey. I will always look back at my Test career with a smile.' He further wrote his jersey number '269' and wrote 'Signing off'.

Virat will now play only in ODIs
