Different variants of Corona being found in different parts of the country, know which is the most dangerous

New Delhi: Corona is wreaking havoc in the country at this time. For the past several days, more than 3 lakh cases of corona infection are being reported in India every day. In these, different variants of Corona are taking the lives of people in different parts. This information was given by Sujit Singh, director of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC). He said that most people in North India are currently infected with the British variant of the virus, while the 'double mutant' variant of the virus is wreaking havoc in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka. However, the proportion of people infected in the country with the B1.1.7 variant (British variant) of the SARS Cov-2 virus has decreased by 50 percent in the last month.

 

 

British variant havoc in these states

Sujit Singh said in a press conference on Wednesday that the British variant of the virus is infecting the most people in North India, including Punjab (482 samples), Delhi (516 samples), followed by Telangana (192 samples), Maharashtra. (83) and Karnataka (82). He told that 10 top government laboratories and institutes have been doing genome sequencing (sequencing) of the Coronavirus since December last year. He informed that genome sequencing of 18,053 samples has been done so far.

 

 

The effect of double mutants in these states

He said that information related to genome sequencing was shared with the states twice in February and four times in March-April. According to Sujit Singh, the double mutant, also known as B.1.617, is mainly affecting Maharashtra (721 samples), West Bengal (124), Delhi (107), and Gujarat (102).

 

 

South African variants were also found at these places

The South African type of virus was mainly affected in Telangana and Delhi. It is known as B.1.315. He told that the Brazilian type was found only in Maharashtra and its ratio is negligible.
