IND vs AFG Playing 11: The three-match T20 series against Afghanistan is going to start on Thursday (January 11). The first match of the series will be played in Mohali.

The morale of the Indian team which returned with a strong performance on the South Africa tour is completely high. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are desperate to make their mark in the shortest format of cricket after one and a half years. At the same time, Afghanistan would also like to give tough competition to Team India in this series.

Yashasvi Jaiswal or Shubman Gill?

Selecting the playing eleven for the first T20 match against Afghanistan will not be an easy task for captain Rohit Sharma. It will also be interesting to see who among Shubhman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal will get the chance to open in the match to be held in Mohali. Yashasvi Jaiswal seems to have more chances to open the innings with Rohit. However, considering Shubman Gill's home ground, the team management may give him a chance in the playing eleven.

Sanju Samson will return

Sanju Samson can be seen in the role of wicketkeeper in the first T20 match. Sanju has returned to the T20 team after a long time and he would like to seize this opportunity. Sanju may face tough competition from Jitesh Sharma for a place in the playing eleven. Jitesh has been successful in leaving a mark in the matches played so far with his stormy batting.

How will the bowling attack be?

The Indian team can field against Afghanistan with three fast bowlers. Arshdeep Singh can be seen leading the fast bowling. Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar will be seen supporting Arshdeep. In the spin department, either Kuldeep Yadav or Ravi Bishnoi may get a chance. At the same time, Akshar Patel will be seen playing the role of the second spinner.
