The wife of a BJP leader was killed in an encounter with the UP Police, who reached Uttarakhand while chasing the mining mafia. The woman was returning from duty when the firing took place. The UP Police itself had planned the operation after receiving the news, but during the encounter, the mafia held 12 policemen, hostage, for about an hour. 1. The encounter started on Wednesday afternoon

UP Police came to know on Wednesday afternoon that mining mafia Zafar is in the Thakurdwara area of ​​Moradabad. When the police raided five and a half hours in the evening, Zafar started firing. In retaliation, the police also opened fire.

 

2. Uttarakhand ran away when it started getting surrounded, UP police also reached

 

Seeing himself surrounded, Zafar crossed the UP border from here and reached Bharatpur village of Kunda police station in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. The team of UP Police also reached Bharatpur in pursuit. ADG Rajkumar of Bareilly Zone told that Mafia Zafar hid at the farmhouse of BJP leader Gurtaj Singh in Bharatpur. The distance from Thakurdwara police station to Bharatpur is barely 8 km.

 

3. Policemen had entered Bhullar's farmhouse in plain clothes

 

The UP Police personnel were in plain clothes. In some videos, 10-12 people are seen entering Bhullar's farmhouse with pistols and there were policemen in plain clothes. Initially, Bhullar's family mistook the policemen.

 

However, the Moradabad police team introduced itself and asked to hand over the 50 thousand prize mining mafia Zafar who had entered the farmhouse. But Bhullar's family started demanding to call the local police. Meanwhile, the local people started protesting.

 

4. Woman returning from duty was shot

 

During the argument, the police saw Mafia Zafar. Then the firing started. Meanwhile, Bhullar's wife Gurjit Kaur (28 years) was returning from duty. They got shot. The family hurriedly took him to a private doctor, where he was declared brought dead.

 

Relatives say that Gurjeet died due to bullet injuries from Moradabad police. In this incident, a case of murder has been registered against 10-12 policemen while naming 4 policemen of Moradabad in Kunda police station of Uttarakhand. Gurjit was a clerk in a cooperative society.

 

5. Zafar took the policemen hostage, and the villagers created a ruckus

 

According to the information, Zafar and his associates held 12 policemen hostage for an hour. Weapons were looted and the police vehicle was also set on fire. The villagers were outraged by the death of the woman. Taking advantage of this resentment, Zafar fled. Villagers created a ruckus by blocking the Kunda Tiraha in Uttarakhand. After this, a case of murder has been registered against the policemen. UP Police has also registered a case against some villagers. There is a charge of assault against him.

On September 13, the mining mafia Zafar was wanted in the case of taking away the dumper by taking the SDM team hostage. But Zafar realized this and ran away. In the encounter, 5 policemen including the inspector were injured. 3 have been shot and 2 have been victims of assault.

 

CM had reprimanded

CM Yogi Adityanath was very upset with the incident of the mining mafia attacking the SDM and snatching the dumper. In a video conference held on September 25, he reprimanded Moradabad DIG Shalabh Mathur and directed him to take strict action against the mining mafia. The CM had instructed that along with taking action on the mining mafia, those guilty should also be identified who are supporting the mining syndicate.

 

Governments kept changing but the illegal mining business did not stop

Uttarakhand touches the border of 3 out of 5 districts of the Moradabad division. Moradabad, Rampur, and Bijnor districts share borders with Uttarakhand.
