However, PM Modi said that he could not accept the invitation due to pre-scheduled programs. PM Modi invited Trump to visit India for the Quad summit, which is likely to be held later this year.
Trump left the G-7 meeting midway amid the growing conflict between Israel and Iran. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that PM Modi and President Trump were to meet during the G-7 meeting, but this meeting could not take place due to the US President leaving early. After this, Trump insisted on talking to PM Modi, after which this conversation was fixed.
