Exclusive: Owaisi lashed out at BJP over Uniform Civil Code, said- I will protest

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi arrived on a two-day Gujarat tour on Saturday (October 29). Owaisi surrounded the Bharatiya Janata Party government on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) on the first day of his tour. In an exclusive interview with ABP News, Owaisi said, "As soon as elections are approaching, BJP starts raising such issues. This is an old habit of the BJP. They (BJP) have repeated the same habit." Owaisi further said that if you (BJP) are talking about Uniform Civil Code, then what is in that law? Owaisi said that within Gujarat one community cannot sell a house to another community.

 

IMIM chief targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He said, "Amit Shah had said that Rupani did a good job during the Kovid period, then why was he removed?" Owaisi further said that inflation and unemployment is an issues. Bring Uniform Civil Code on them. Owaisi further said in the interview that the political parties in India who call themselves secular, shy away from taking the name of a Muslim and I want to give credit to the Prime Minister of India.

 

"The race is on to be the leader of the biggest Hindutva"

 

On the issue of Bilkis Bano, Owaisi said that if his daughter was alive today, she would have gone to school. At the same time, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also targeted. He said that efforts are being made to find out who is a bigger Hindutva leader than Narendra Modi. No one is trying to talk about the common issues of the people like inflation, and employment. Arvind Kejriwal had stated that the photo of Ganesh-Lakshmi should be put on the Indian note.

 

Committee to be formed to implement UCC in Gujarat

 

Let us inform you that Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel decided to constitute a committee to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state. The CM took this decision in the cabinet meeting on Saturday (October 29). The committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of the High Court Justice. Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi said, “CM Bhupendra Patel under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the cabinet meeting decided to form a committee to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state. A historic decision has been taken.
