IND vs West Indies Squad: The Indian team for the T20I series against West Indies was announced on Thursday. Two big names are missing from this series in the form of Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. Both these cricketers have been rested. Virat is struggling to score runs in international cricket. He scored only 13 runs in two T20 matches. At the same time, Bumrah has been rested keeping in mind the workload. Apart from Virat and Bumrah, another big name is missing in the form of Sanju Samson. Samson scored 77 runs in 42 balls in the second T20 against Ireland. He was not picked in the first T20 against England and returned home after that.
Fans are furious over Samson not being included in the team once again and they are lashing out at the selectors for this. Fans have accused the selectors of doing politics while attacking the BCCI on Twitter. Not only, Samson, and Rahul Tripathi is also not included in the team. He was part of the team in Ireland and England but he did not get a chance to play in a single match and now he has been suddenly dropped from the team. However, Kuldeep Yadav and KL Rahul have been included in the team. But their availability depends on their fitness.
India is to play the first match of the five-match T20I series on the West Indies tour in Trinidad on 29 July. After this, the next two matches will be played in St Kitts on 1 and 2 August respectively. After this, the fourth and fifth T20 matches will be played in Florida on 7 and 8 August respectively.
