There is good news for the makers of the Tamil film 'Mamanan'. The Madras High Court has refused to stay the film. After which now Udhayanidhi Stalin and Vadivelu will release on the same day as announced by the makers. 'Mamanan' will hit the theaters on June 29.
Justice K. Kumaresh Babu rejected the plea of filmmaker Ramasarvanan of OST Films seeking a stay on the film's release. He refused to pass any interim order on this. The court refused to stay the film as the petitioner failed to prove his points in the petition.
Udhayanidhi Stalin was accused by Ramasarvanan of trying to release 'Mamanan' without completing the film 'Angel'. After which Ramasarvanan filed a petition in the Madras High Court to ban the release of 'Mamanan'.
Ramasarvanan spent around Rs 13 crore on 'Angel', the shooting of which started in the year 2018. But the film could not be completed till now as Udhayanidhi refused to give the call sheet and is not completing it. He wanted the court to direct Udhayanidhi to pay a compensation of Rs 25 crore before the release of 'Mamanan'.
