Farmers Protest: UP farmers move towards Parliament, jam on Delhi-Noida border; Section 144 applied

Farmers who were protesting at the gate of Noida Authority regarding compensation-related demands, marched to Delhi on Thursday. In view of this, the traffic police partially restricted the movement of vehicles on Sector-6 Udyog Marg. In view of the farmers' protest march, security has been increased at Delhi-Noida, Chilla border. At the same time, many farmer leaders have been kept under surveillance at their residences themselves. The police are trying to stop it. Farmers of UP marched from the Delhi-Noida Chilla border towards Parliament regarding their various demands.

 

Meanwhile, Section 144 has been imposed in Noida and Greno from today. A traffic jam has arisen on the Delhi-Noida border. Traffic is being affected on many routes in Noida and Delhi. Due to this people are facing problems.

 

DIG, Addl. CP (L&O), Shivhari Meena, said, 'Section 144 has been imposed and all borders have been sealed for 24 hours. Heavy security deployment has been made on all the borders. Arrangements have been made to ensure that people do not face any problems. Security has been increased. We are talking to farmers, and all vehicles are being checked.

Let us tell you that apart from Udyog Marg in Noida, traffic diversion will be in force for some time on other routes including Rajnigandha to Sector-15 Metro Station, Chilla to Sector-15 Metro Station, New Ashok Nagar, Udyog Marg.

 

According to DCP Traffic Anil Kumar Yadav, in view of the farmers' march to Delhi, vehicular movement will be restricted on the route from Golchakkar Chowk Sector-15 to Sector-6 Police Post, Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk to Harola Chowk. Apart from this, traffic was diverted as per requirement from Golchakkar Chowk Sector-15, Rajnigandha Chowk, Sector-6 Police Chowki Chowk, Jhundpura Chowk, Sector 8,10,11,12 Chowk, Harola Chowk. Drivers will be able to use alternative routes to avoid traffic inconvenience.

 

Four dharnas of farmers are going on in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Jai Jawan Jai Kisan organization is on strike against Ansal Builder, while All India Kisan Sabha is continuing its strike outside the Greater Noida Authority. Dharna is going on under the leadership of Bharatiya Kisan Parishad at NTPC Headquarters Sector-24 Noida and Sector-6. Farmer organizations say that a large number of women and elderly people will also participate in the Delhi march.
