Because of the fast-growing cases of Corona in the capital Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal has called an emergency meeting on Corona today. In this meeting, the Chief Minister will review the Health Information Management System. Health Minister Satyendar Jain and other concerned officials will be present in this meeting to be held in Delhi Secretariat. Let me tell you that on Wednesday, 70 days in Delhi, corona infection was confirmed in a maximum of 536 new people in one day. Earlier, on January 6, 654 cases were reported in Delhi.
At the same time, the Delhi government has directed to increase surveillance on patients with home isolation. The Health Department has asked all the district administrations to reactivate the surveillance team in their area to increase the surveillance of corona patients with home isolation. According to a senior Delhi government official, the rate of infection in Delhi is less than one percent right now, but the number of active patients has been increasing continuously for a few days. There have also been some complaints of negligence of patients living in home isolation. Therefore, instructions have been given to increase surveillance.
Will be monitored from mobile location
When the corona was at its peak, the government used to monitor the mobile location of patients living in home isolation. But in the past, when the rate of corona infection decreased, it was relaxed slightly. But now the number of active patients is increasing again. Mobile surveillance will be increased again. A team will also be set up at the district level to visit the patients living in home isolation to check if they are present at home.
The number of active patients in Delhi increased to 2702
After 536 new cases on Wednesday, the number of active patients in Delhi has also increased to 2702. With this, Corona has a total of 6,45,025 patients in Delhi. Of these, 6,31,375 patients have recovered from the corona. At the same time, 10,948 patients died due to corona. The death rate from Corona in Delhi is 1.70 percent. According to the department, out of more than two thousand active patients of Corona in Delhi, 725 patients are admitted to various hospitals of Delhi. At the same time, 338 patients are admitted to Covid Care Center and 1438 in Home Isolation.
0.66% patients found infected
There were 80,856 investigations of Accorona in Delhi on Wednesday. Of these, 0.66 percent of patients were found to be infected with corona. There were 50,216 tests on RTPCR mode and 30,640 tests of rapid antigens on Wednesday. So far, 1,35,09,270 tests have been conducted to test the corona in Delhi. The number of hotspots has once again increased to 608 amidst increasing cases in Delhi.
