Sanctions on Pakistan, India welcomed with open heart; America also acknowledged the threat to the neighboring country

Given Pakistan's program to develop long-range ballistic missiles, the US on Thursday imposed new sanctions on it. The US believes that if nuclear-armed Pakistan develops long-range ballistic missiles, it can prove to be dangerous for the world.

Pakistan has described the US decision as unfortunate and discriminatory. US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said, 'These sanctions will be applicable on Pakistan's National Development Complex (NDC) and three companies. The purpose of these sanctions is to prevent large-scale loss of life. After the implementation of the sanctions, the assets of the banned complexes and companies located in the US will be confiscated and they will not be able to do direct or indirect business with the US.'

The purpose is to target India.

Similarly, people associated with them will also not be able to travel to the US. Apart from NDC, the three companies that have come under the purview of US sanctions are Affiliates International, Akhtar and Sons Private Limited, and Rockside Enterprise. All three companies are from Karachi. According to the US State Department, the Islamabad-based NDC is constantly trying to expedite the development program of long-range ballistic missiles and to obtain the necessary equipment for its testing.

The NDC is the institute running Pakistan's ballistic missile program. It has developed the Shaheen version of missiles. The Atomic Scientists Research Organization has said that Shaheen missiles are capable of attacking with nuclear weapons. Pakistan's missile program, which is being run in collaboration with China, is targeting India.

Preparation to give missile technology to India

The US has indicated to amend the law related to the export of its missile technology to India during a meeting between Deputy NSA Jonathan Finer, Deputy Foreign Minister Kurt M Campbell, and Indian Ambassador Vinay Kwatra at the Johnson Space Center on Tuesday. The information released after the meeting said, 'The work of reviewing the export of missile technology is going on to create new opportunities between the industries of both the countries. One of its objectives is also to cooperate between the companies of both the countries in spacecraft launch.'

It should be noted that for decades, America has been against India's missile program, and due to that, India could not become a member of the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) for a long time. Later, when relations with America improved, India became a member of this agreement in the year 2016. Now that cooperation between the two countries in strategic areas like military, defense, and space is becoming stronger, America is now ready to share missile technology with India. America has said this when it has agreed to strengthen space defense cooperation with India.

Next year India-America space relations will flourish.

The year 2025 will start a new era for bilateral space cooperation between India and America. In fact, the place that India is now being given in America's space program is not establishing such cooperation with any other country. On the one hand, the final phase of the plan to send astronauts of Indian origin to space with American spacecraft and team is going on. Next year, a space mission named Axiom-4 will be launched for this.

On the other hand, India is accelerating its program to send astronauts into space in collaboration with Russia. In this way, India is the only country to establish close space cooperation with both the opposing global powers. America and India are also encouraging their space sector startups to cooperate.
