Iran Hijab Protest: After Mahsa died in Iran, people took to the streets, 41 died in the protests so far

After the death of Mahsa Amini in Iran, people have taken to the streets. The death of Mahsa Amini, after being in police custody, is facing heavy opposition from the Iranian government. Please tell that after Mehsa Amini refused to wear the hijab, the police detained her. It is alleged that the police assaulted her, due to which she went into a coma and died. Following the woman's death, mass protests have erupted in more than 80 towns and cities in Iran's 31 provinces for more than a week. During this many people have died and more than 1200 people been arrested.

Let us tell you that during the demonstration, there is fierce violence on the streets. At least 41 people have died so far in clashes between protesters and the armed forces in the protests. According to the information, Mahsa Amini was arrested on September 13 while leaving Tehran metro station. Mahsa Amini and other women were arrested because they did not follow the hijab law and refused to wear it. The police took them along with others including Mahsa Amini. Following this, the family claims that Mehsa was assaulted, leaving her in a coma. However, officials said that Mahsa died of natural causes.

Women in Iran have to follow a strict dress code, failing which they are taken into police custody, then abused. By law in Iran, women cover their hair with a hijab and wear loose-fitting clothing. To enter some mosques, women have to wear bed sheets so that only their faces or eyes are visible.

Let us tell you that after the death of Mahsa Amina, some women cut their hair and burnt their hijabs in public. At first, the protests were confined to Kurdish-populated areas of Iran but later spread like wildfire to more than 80 cities and towns. According to the information, at least 1,200 people have been arrested from different places so far.
