An FIR has been registered against Anand Giri, his disciple, in connection with the suspicious death of Mahant Narendra Giri, president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad and secretary of Niranjani Akhara.

In this case, the police have also taken some people into custody, but no arrest has been made so far. The police are interrogating Anand Giri only late on Monday night.

An FIR has been lodged against Anand Giri at Georgetown police station in Prayagraj on behalf of Amar Giri, the administrator of the Bade Hanuman temple attached to the Baghambri Math and another disciple of Narendra Giri.

Only Anand Giri is named in the FIR, in which Amar Giri has alleged that Narendra Giri was under mental stress for the last few days because of Anand Giri and that is why he gave his life. However, the police are not ruling out the matter of murder in this case either.

Apart from Anand Giri, the police are also interrogating the chief priest of Bade Hanuman temple, Aadya Tiwari, and his son Sandeep Tiwari, in custody. Both these people have also been named in the alleged suicide note of Mahant Narendra Giri.

What did Yogi Adityanath say?

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached Prayagraj for the last darshan of Mahant Narendra Giri, told that soon the mystery of Narendra Giri's death will be revealed and the culprits will not be spared.

Talking to reporters, he said, "Many pieces of evidence have been collected in the death of Narendra Giri and many senior officers are working together. Each incident will be exposed. Investigating agencies have to proceed with the work impartially." Give. Whoever is responsible, he will be brought under the purview of the law and given the harshest punishment."

The Chief Minister informed that a team of four senior police officers has been deployed in the investigation of the incident, including ADG Prem Prakash of Prayagraj Zone, Inspector General of Police Prayagraj Range KP Singh, and DIG Best Tripathi.

Keeping in mind the opinion of the members of the Akhara Parishad, the body of Narendra Giri has been kept in the Baghambari Peeth today for the last glimpse. The postmortem of his dead body will be done on Wednesday, after which his last rites will be performed as per the saint tradition.

'I don't believe in suicide'

For the last darshan of Mahant Narendra Giri, there is an influx of his fans at the Baghambri Math of Prayagraj.

Apart from Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Cabinet Minister Brajesh Pathak, leaders of a large number of political parties and saints and saints from outside Prayagraj are also reaching to pay their homage.

Mahant Hariji Maharaj, the head of Juna Akhara, told the BBC, "This is a very sad incident for the Sant Samaj. It should be found out how he died. We do not believe in the matter of suicide."

inquiry demand

Meanwhile, questions are also being raised on Narendra Giri's suicide note. The sevadars of the Akhara Parishad and his disciples in the Baghambri Math say that Mahant Narendra Giri himself never used to write anything but used to get it written by a disciple or sevadar of the Math.

One of his disciples, on the condition of anonymity, told the BBC that there was no question of writing a seven-eight-page suicide note, so this suicide note should also be investigated.

UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya, who reached Prayagraj to pay tribute to Mahant Narendra Giri, has also expressed doubts about suicide.

Talking to the media, he said, "The matter of suicide cannot be believed. All aspects of this case will be investigated. If the need is felt, then the CBI will also be investigated in the matter. The government is ready in every way." "
