Voting is underway today for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the country's richest municipal corporation. Voting is also taking place in a total of 29 municipal corporations across Maharashtra. Actor Akshay Kumar also cast his vote. The actor voted in the Mumbai civic elections and appealed to others to vote as well.

 

 

Akshay said, 'We shouldn't just talk, we should vote.'

Akshay Kumar cast his vote at a polling station in Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan in Mumbai as soon as voting began on Thursday. After voting, Akshay Kumar appealed to the people to vote and said, "Voting is taking place today for the BMC elections. As Mumbaikars, the remote control is in our hands today. I appeal to everyone to vote in large numbers. If we want to be the real heroes of Mumbai, we shouldn't just talk, we should come here and vote."

 

 

Gulzar took time out from his travels to vote.

Renowned lyricist Gulzar also cast his vote. After voting, he said, "We appeal to people every time that this is your right, please exercise your right, otherwise you won't be able to complain. I was traveling, but I took the opportunity to come and vote."

 

 

Twinkle Khanna also voted.

Besides Akshay Kumar, his wife and actress Twinkle Khanna also voted. After casting her vote in the BMC elections, actress Twinkle Khanna said, "I think it gives us a sense of control. It gives us a little power. I am voting both out of habit and hope."

 

 

A girl asked Akshay for help while he was voting, saying 'My father is in debt'

When Akshay Kumar arrived to vote, a young girl approached him. She pleaded with the actor for help, saying that her father was in debt. The security guard stopped the girl. However, during this time, Akshay Kumar told the girl, "Give me your number." After this, the girl touched the actor's feet, but the actor stopped her.

 

 

Nana Patekar said, 'Exercise your right.'

Actor Nana Patekar also voted in the BMC elections. After casting his vote, he said, "I traveled for more than three hours to cast my vote because it's essential in a democracy. I'm going back immediately. I appeal to everyone to come out and exercise their right to vote."
