New Delhi, April 17 (IANS) An FIR has been filed against AAP candidate Rakhi Birla for violating the model code of conduct, the Election Commission (EC) said Thursday.
"Rakhi Birla was spotted on the premises of a polling station in Mangolpuri April 10 with the party's cap on. This was in violation of the model code of conduct. We complained to the Delhi Police and an FIR has been lodged against her," said Ankur Garg, chief nodal officer at the EC in Delhi.
Birla is the Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Delhi North West Lok Sabha constituency.
