India's Ravindra Jadeja has moved up to the number one spot in the ICC Test all-rounder rankings after a stellar performance in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali, while Kohli and Pant have improved their rankings. Together at the top.

He jumped 17 places in the batting rankings from 54th to 37th, thanks to his 175 not out in the first innings against Sri Lanka, and took nine wickets in the match to reach 17th in the bowlers' rankings. His all-around performance was enough to dislodge West Indies' star all-rounder Jason Holder from the top spot, who had held it since February 2021. Earlier, Jadeja had come to the top spot for just one week in August 2017. India won the first test by an innings and 222 runs. Jadeja was adjudged 'Player of the Match'.

The ICC said in a statement, "Ravindra Jadeja's performance in the recent Test series against Sri Lanka was excellent. Thanks to this, he has reached number one in the ICC Men's Players Test Rankings.

Former captain Virat Kohli has become India's highest Test ranked batsman in the rankings for batsmen. He has jumped from No. 7 to No. 5 with 763 ratings. R Ashwin, who performed well with the ball and bat against Sri Lanka, continues to be at number two in the bowlers' rankings.

After becoming the full-time captain, Rohit Sharma, who came out to play the first Test match, could not score many runs and due to this, he has slipped to sixth place. Meanwhile, wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant broke into the top 10 after a blistering knock of 96 in the Mohali Test. Pant is ranked 10th with 723 ratings.

The Rawalpindi Test between hosts Pakistan and Australia was a golden opportunity for the batsmen to score runs and Pakistan's Imam-ul-Haq has reached a career-best 63rd position with 477 points in both innings.
