Former captain Virat Kohli has become India's highest Test ranked batsman in the rankings for batsmen. He has jumped from No. 7 to No. 5 with 763 ratings. R Ashwin, who performed well with the ball and bat against Sri Lanka, continues to be at number two in the bowlers' rankings.

After becoming the full-time captain, Rohit Sharma, who came out to play the first Test match, could not score many runs and due to this, he has slipped to sixth place.
