The condition of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) remains stable and his medical examination is being done. Emm sources gave this information on Monday.
He was admitted to AIIMS on Sunday night after feeling restless. Singh, 87, is under observation in the cardio-thoracis (heart and chest) ward of AIIMS.
AIIMS sources said on Monday, 'After taking a new medicine, he was admitted for having a reaction (febrile reaction) so that he could be under the supervision of doctors and he could be examined. Investigations are being carried out to find other causes of fever and necessary care is being taken of them.
According to sources, the former prime minister's condition is stable and he is under the supervision of a team of doctors from the cardio-thoracis center of AIIMS.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wished him a speedy recovery. He wrote, 'Dr. I am worried about Manmohan Singh's health. I hope they get well soon. The whole country is praying for the former Prime Minister.
Karnataka Congress President DK Shivkumar tweeted, 'I am concerned about the health of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. I along with more than one billion Indians wish him speedy recovery and pray for his good health and long life. '
Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor wished Singh a quick recovery. He wrote, 'I am worried about the news of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh being admitted to AIIMS in Delhi but it is a relief to know that he is not in ICU and is good. Wish him well soon and fully. '
National Conference leader Omar Abdullah said, 'Dr. Sad to hear about Manmohan Singh's hospitalization. I hope they get well soon and come back home with their family soon. There is a great need for his wise counsel and guidance in this time of crisis. '
Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray also wished Singh to recover soon. He wrote, 'We all pray for Dr. Manmohan Singh to get well soon.
