Heat will take the test: mercury crossed 45 degrees in 7 cities of MP-UP and Rajasthan, estimated to reach 48 degrees in May

The scorching heat continues to wreak havoc in about 70% of the country. About 80% of the country's population is in its grip. On Wednesday, the temperature crossed 44 degrees in 33 cities of the country. In seven of these cities, the temperature was more than 45 degrees. The Meteorological Department has forecast that the temperature will increase continuously in the remaining three days of April in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand.

 

There will be a severe heatwave in the next three days i.e. 28, 29, and 30 April. May 1st Sunday will probably be the peak of summer. On Sunday, the temperature in many areas of these states can be recorded as up to 47-48 degrees. However, from May 2, the temperature is expected to decrease.

 

Hot winds will blow in Uttar Pradesh, no relief for 3 days

 

The weather is fast turning in Uttar Pradesh. The heat is seen reaching its peak in the last week of April. Jhansi was the hottest city in the state on Wednesday. The maximum temperature recorded here was 45.5 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has issued a severe heat alert for the entire state including Lucknow. In other districts including Lucknow, there will be severe heat for the next three days i.e. till Saturday. During this, hot winds will also blow at the speed of 60.

 

Ganga's water level decreased by 15 times, water crisis may arise

 

The wrath of scorching heat has started falling on the Ganges as well. The water level in the Ganges remains good with the water released from the Narora Dam in the Ganges. However, with the temperature rise, the water discharge from Narora Dam in the last 15 days has remained very low at 12,010 cusecs. For the first time in the last 5 years, it happened that in April, the Ganges dried up so much.
