Tension has escalated between Pakistan and Afghanistan after seven Pakistanis were killed in firing on Sunday. Pakistan's army and government are alleging that the firing was done deliberately and without any provocation by the Afghan Taliban. Five civilians and one soldier were killed in this. One person has also been killed in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called a meeting of the Security Committee. After this said – Whatever happened at the Chaman border is wrong. There was unnecessary firing on our army and civilians. The Taliban government present in Kabul will have to decide that this type of incident does not happen again.

Afghan Taliban preparing for an attack

According to media reports, there is a lot of tension on the Chaman border after heavy firing on Sunday. This is the territory of Spin Boldak. This border area was also closed for a long time. Now the Afghan Taliban have started preparations for a counter-attack in this area. He has sent the Taliban equipped with armored vehicles, cannons, and other heavy weapons for deployment here.

The special thing is that even after such heavy tension and the death of 7 people, no statement has been issued by the Taliban government of Afghanistan. On the other hand, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the army expressed concern over the firing and blamed Afghanistan. Shahbaz Sharif has clearly said that such incidents will not be tolerated now. Its direct meaning is that they are threatening the government of Afghanistan.

Bad relationship within a year

The Durand Line separates Pakistan and Afghanistan. Afghanistan does not accept this border and claims many areas of Pakistan as its own. Pakistan fenced here with barbed wire, then the Taliban uprooted it by running bulldozers. 7 Pakistani soldiers have been killed on this border in two weeks. Trade between the two countries takes place through this border area.

A Taliban officer from Kandahar said – We wanted to build a new checkpoint here. Pakistan tried to stop it. Due to this tension increased. One of our soldiers was martyred and 10 civilians were injured. After this retaliatory action was taken.

On 15 August 2021, the Taliban captured power in Afghanistan. After this happiness was celebrated in Pakistan. The then Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan even termed the Taliban's victory as 'breaking the chains of slavery'. But, even before one year, the enmity between the two countries is at its peak.

Last month there was continuous firing for 8 days.

According to the news agency, there was continuous firing for 8 days in this border area in November. Because of this, there was a lot of damage on both sides. Then Pakistan tried to solve the matter diplomatically. Pakistan alleges that the Afghan Taliban are sending terrorists to Pakistan's border and these terrorists carry out attacks in Pakistan.

Diplomacy also failed

There has been tremendous tension on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan for almost 6 months. Recently, 6 Pakistani soldiers were killed in Taliban firing. To reduce this tension, Pakistan's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar went to Afghanistan two weeks ago. He was accompanied by a delegation of officers from the Foreign and Defense Ministries.

The special thing is that when the officials of the Taliban government, who advocated keeping women imprisoned in boundary walls and hijab, arrived at Kabul airport to receive Hina, she was in her old glamorous style. Far from wearing hijab, she had not even put a scarf on her head.

what is controversy

Pakistan and Afghanistan are separated by a border. This is called the Durand Line. Pakistan considers it a boundary line, but the Taliban clearly say that Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state is its part.

The Pakistani army has done fencing here with barbed wire.

On 15 August 2021, the Sultanate of Afghanistan was captured by the Taliban. He made it clear only after 5 days i.e. on 20th August that Pakistan will have to vacate the part of Afghanistan because the Taliban does not accept Durand Line.

Pakistan opposed this and deployed an army there. After this, the Taliban blew up the Pakistani check posts there. Many Pakistani soldiers have been killed in this area and many are under the control of the Taliban. Only last week, 6 Pakistani soldiers were killed in Taliban firing.

There are two main factions of the Taliban. First: Afghan Taliban. It is running the government of Afghanistan. Second: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan which is called TTP in common parlance.

TTP does 90% of terrorist attacks in Pakistan. It wants to implement Sharia law there along the lines of Afghanistan. Pakistan considers the army as its biggest enemy.
