Investigation into the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case has gathered pace. Meghalaya police will take the accused to Sohra to recreate the scene. Meghalaya police will take all the accused in the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, including his wife Sonam, to Sohra on Tuesday, officials said. Raja was killed on May 23 during his honeymoon in the northeastern state. His wife Sonam, her alleged lover Raj, and three killers have been arrested in connection with the murder.

East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Sim told PTI, "We are taking all the accused to Sohra to recreate the crime scene." He said they would be taken to a different parking lot and over a valley in Sohra around noon.

Raja's mutilated body was found in a ditch near the Weisadong waterfall on June 2. Sonam was found on the morning of June 9, about 1,200 km away in Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh, where she surrendered. The police had arrested her alleged lover and three killers. The accused are in the custody of Meghalaya police. The SIT is investigating the case.

DGP I Nongrang had said on Monday that the SIT was probing the case from various angles. "We are investigating if there is more to the case. Unusually, Sonam developed so much animosity against her husband within a few days of marriage," Nongrang told PTI. "We are investigating all possible angles. There is enough evidence and all aspects are being linked," he said.
