The monsoon season may have gone, but even now the rainy season continues in many states. Recently, the Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that the monsoon season has passed in all the states of India. Despite this, many states of the south are going to rain in the coming days. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal from 29 to 31 October. At the same time, there will be rain in Andaman and Nicobar for five days.

According to the daily updates issued by the Meteorological Department, Kerala and Mahe will receive heavy rains on October 30 and 31. At the same time, a rain alert has been issued in the coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam area on October 31. On the other hand, light rain may occur in West Bengal, Sikkim on October 27.

Apart from this, light to moderate rain is expected over Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the next five days. The Meteorological Department says that there will be no rain in the rest of the states for the next five days and the dry season will continue. However, winter has knocked in some areas of North India and the temperature is being recorded in the morning and evening.

It is worth noting that this year the departure of the monsoon has been delayed. Monsoon finally left India on 23 October. Heavy rains were witnessed in September and October. Due to this, the September-October rains in states like UP-Bihar helped a lot to overcome the shortfall. The monsoon season is generally considered from June 1 to September 30, but this year the monsoon rains also occurred in the early days of October. Heavy rains were seen in various areas across the country including the states of North India like UP, Bihar, and Delhi.
