Temba Bavuma could not field 40 overs
South African captain Temba Bavuma could field only 19 overs on the first day. He felt a strain in his hamstring in the 20th over. He went out of the field and went to the doctor to get a scan. Reports revealed that he will undergo medical tests every day. He will get permission to play only after clearing the test.
If Bavuma cannot play the Test due to a medical examination, then South Africa will have to bat with only 10 players. Because player replacement is not allowed due to external injuries.
