China and Pakistan have once again started their war preparations under the guise of normalizing the situation in the border areas with India. These days the Air Force of China and Pakistan are conducting joint exercises in Tibet across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. In this exercise, the armies of both countries are also using air-to-air, surface-to-air, sea-to-air missiles, UAVs, and drones. At the same time, taking notice of this joint exercise, the Indian Army has also increased vigil along the Line of Control with Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir and the Line of Actual Control with China in Eastern Ladakh.
Relevant sources said that two days ago, fighter aircraft of the Chinese army, which were seen near the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh, were involved in this exercise. He said that under normal circumstances when a country conducts maneuvers, its Air Force fighter aircraft do not fly in such an area, where there is a situation like military tension with another country. This joint exercise in Tibet will continue till June 15. According to initial information, this exercise, which started on 22 May, was for 15 days, later its duration was extended.
This joint exercise will also not be called normal because before this exercise, a team of senior officers of China's Air Force, called People's Liberation Air Force, went to Pakistan and provided training to Pakistani Air Force officers. This training was given earlier this year. Earlier in October last year also, the Chinese Air Force had set up the control room of the surface-to-air missile in Ghulam Kashmir. In Ghulam Kashmir, three such centers or chambers have been built at Hatiya, Bala, Chinari, and Chakoti. Apart from this, for the first time, the Chinese Army has integrated its various units equipped with air defense system with its Air Force and deployed them along the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh.
Before the exercise last year, the Pakistani Army has deployed JF-17 fighter jets at the airbase in Skardu. This airbase very close to Ladakh is used by the Chinese Air Force along with Pakistan. After taking off from here, Pakistani fighter aircraft can enter Indian airspace in hardly 5 minutes. An underground fuel station and weapons depot have also been constructed at this airport. Officials of the Chinese Air Force often visit this airbase.
On the selection of Tibet by China and Pakistan for a joint exercise, Major General Retired Dilawar Singh said that Tibet has been selected considering its strategic importance and its geographical conditions. It is adjacent to eastern Ladakh, where there has been military tension between China and India for the past year. Apart from this, this area is also close to Pakistan. While both these countries are adapting their soldiers to the geographical conditions in this entire region with this maneuver, they are trying to put pressure on India through this. There are many lakes and rivers in Tibet, where he can destroy them by building several ship structures for practice. The timing of this maneuver also raises many questions.
China is also using a low-to-medium altitude air defense system: China is also using its low-to-medium altitude air defense system in this exercise. It is a medium-range surface-to-air defense missile system with a range of about 150 km. It is a support for flying any object that is flying very low in the air at medium altitude. Apart from this, it is also using its Eagle anti-ship cruise missile, which has a range of 120 to 150 km. This missile can also be launched from a fighter aircraft flying in the air.
Indian Army has full eye: Officials associated with the Ministry of Defense said that the joint exercise of Pakistani and Chinese Air Force in Tibet is being closely monitored. In Eastern Ladakh, the Indian Air Force has also regularly deployed contingents of its fighter aircraft including Sukhoi-30 and MiG-29 Ladakh. Apart from this, Rafale fighter jets have also flown in the airspace of Ladakh. A few days ago, the Air Force Chief visited Ladakh and took stock of the situation.
