Indian Air Force will show 'Vayu Shakti' during Russia-Ukraine war, will be exercised on March 7 in Pokhran

The war between Russia and Ukraine is still going on. During the war, the Indian Air Force is also ready to show its strength. The Air Force will conduct maneuvers on March 7 at the Pokhran firing range. The Air Force will showcase its capabilities during the exercise. This program has been named 'Vayu Shakti'. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest of the program.

 

150 aircraft including Rafale will take part

 

150 aircraft, including Rafale, will participate in the 'Vayu Shakti' exercise and display their combat skills in the sky. Earlier in the year 2019, the Air Force had done this exercise. The Indian Air Force demonstrates its capabilities once in three years. This includes helicopters, fighter aircraft, transport, and support systems. This time out of 150 aircraft, 109 fighter aircraft including Rafale is going to participate in this exercise. The Air Force has completed preparations for this exercise.

 

Vice Chief Marshal Sandeep Singh said that fighter aircraft including Jaguar, Rafale, Sukhoi-30, MiG-29, Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, MiG-21 Bison, Hawk 32, M200 will be involved in the exercise. He further said that other aircraft like Globemaster C-17, C-130J Hercules, Chinoque, Mi 17 V5, Mi 35, and Apache will also participate in the exercise. The capabilities of the Akash Missile System and Spyder Missile System will also be demonstrated.

 

The first exercise was held in Tilpat range

 

The first such exercise was conducted by the Indian Air Force on 21 July 1953 at the Tilpat Range in New Delhi. The last exercise was held on 18 March 1989 at the Tilpat range.
