Like the Ringmann system, the corridor will pass through the old Gurugram area and connect to the Rapid Metro station in front of Ambience Mall. The state government wants to develop a corridor from Palam Vihar to Dwarka Sector-21 to connect Gurugram to Dwarka as well. In this direction, the Chief Minister held a meeting with the concerned officials. Once the corridor is developed, most areas of Gurugram will be connected by metro. The proposed metro line from Palam Vihar to Dwarka Sector-21 will benefit the people of Gurugram as well as the people of West Delhi.

It will be connected to DMRC's Blue Line. It will have a total of seven stations. Out of these, four stations within the limits of Gurugram district will be made Rejangla Chowk, Chauma, Sector-110, and Sector-111 in the Palam Vihar area, while three stations in the Delhi area will be made Dwarka Sector-28, Dwarka Sector-25, and Dwarka Sector-21. Palam Vihar and Dwarka Sector-21 will be interchange stations. RITES officials gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding the project. The project will cost around Rs 2,281 crore.

Gurugram's global city will become a world-class iconic city

Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the Global City to be developed in Gurugram would be a world-class iconic city with all facilities of international standard. This city will be planned based on suggestions received from the people instead of the pre-determined standards of urban development. It will involve world-class planners and designers.

The Chief Minister said these things during the third round table conference organized to develop a global city at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Sector-29 on Wednesday. Interacting with the media after the meeting, the Chief Minister said that world-class top players, whether from the country or abroad, would be included to develop this global city into a world-class city. International designers will also be contacted.

He said that till now three round table conferences have been held regarding Global City in which very good suggestions have been received. After getting all the suggestions, there will be an internal meeting and a plan will be prepared. He said that the global city would be a mixed land use township and a 'city in a city. It will feature inspiring workspaces and bespoke city-centric living. This global city has been envisioned to harness the potential of Gurugram as a hub for the service industry. This project will be in the form of the Central Business District (CBD) of the National Capital Region where necessary facilities for work, play, health, education, etc. will be available.
