Nelson said when we were finalizing the cast of Beast, Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde's film Ala Vaikunthapuramlu was released. Pooja did a great job in the film and she was being praised at the national level. I wanted to take an actress who has never worked with Vijay. Keeping all these things in mind, Pooja was a perfect fit for my character in the film. He is a hardworking artist and even though Tamil is not his native language, he learned the language and spoke his lines.
