Indian Navy Day: President Draupadi Murmu said- India will become Vishwaguru in the next 25 years

President Draupadi Murmu on Sunday expressed confidence that India would become a 'Vishwaguru' in the next 25 years. Addressing the Navy Day celebrations at Ramakrishna Beach here, the President said India is called great because its people are full of energy. The people of the country have great enthusiasm for music, sports, culture, defense sector, and everyone is working hard to take India forward.

 

India will celebrate the centenary of its independence in 2047

President Murmu said that he was confident that by the time India celebrates the centenary of its independence in 2047, it would be a world leader and restore its glory. However, he said that some gaps need to be bridged so that every Indian can move forward with pride and step into a new and developed India. The President said that Navy Day reminds us of the need to rededicate ourselves to take India towards a great future through Amrit Kaal.

 

The important role of a metropolis in the development and prosperity of the country

The President said that India is naturally a maritime country, surrounded by sea on three sides and high mountains on the fourth. He said that the oceans would play an important role in the development and prosperity of the country. Congratulating the Navy, he said that the Indian Navy is self-reliant, innovating and maintaining a relentless reach across the oceans. He said that we are confident that the Indian Navy will continue to move forward strongly with the vision of a new and developed India. Describing Visakhapatnam as the 'Jewel of the East Coast', Murmu said it has emerged as an important hub that paves the way for India's secure future.

 

President launches projects

The President also launched several developmental projects of the Union Ministries of Road Transport and Highways, Defense, and Tribal Affairs. He said that they will contribute to the overall and inclusive development of India. The development of highways will reduce congestion and increase road safety, reduce travel time and facilitate faster movement of people and goods. After attending the Navy Day celebrations at Ananthagiri, the President also visited the temple town of Tirupati. Earlier, Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary, and Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar were among the officers who paid homage to the martyrs on the occasion of Navy Day.
