An exciting match was played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023 on Tuesday, in which Himachal Pradesh faced Gujarat. In this match, the bowlers of Himachal Pradesh troubled the batsmen of the Gujarat team a lot. A bowler of the Himachal team wreaked havoc with the ball and took 8 wickets alone creating fear in the minds of the batsmen of the opposing team.

 

The name of this young bowler is Arpit Guleria, who took 8 wickets for 50 runs in 9 overs. However, still Himachal Pradesh team could not win. Gujarat defeated Himachal by 8 runs. Even though the Himachal team was disappointed in this match, Arpit Guleria attracted everyone's attention with his amazing performance.

 

Gujarat vs Himachal: Arpit Guleria created history by taking 8 wickets

In the Group D match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Arpit Guleria registered his name in the history of List A cricket by single-handedly killing 8 batsmen in his quota of 9 overs. Guleria has become the third bowler overall to dismiss eight batsmen in a match of List-A cricket. At the same time, Arpit became the first Indian pacer to do this feat. Let us tell you that before Arpit, spinners Shahbaz Nadeem and Rahul Sanghvi had accomplished this feat.

 

Gujarat defeated Himachal by 8 runs

If we talk about the match, then in this match played at Sector 16 Stadium, Chandigarh, the Gujarat team, batting first, was out after scoring 327 runs in 49 overs. In response, the Himachal Pradesh team was bundled out for 319 runs in 49.5 overs and lost the match by 8 runs.

 

LSG was released before the IPL 2024 auction
