Indian Railway News: Platform ticket sales stopped at Anand Vihar railway station to control crowd

After Diwali, people have started increasing at bus stands and railway stations to go to their respective villages on Chhath Puja. Railway has already completed all the preparations to control the rush of passengers. Railways have also run special trains for the festival. Keeping in mind the security arrangements, the responsibility of this has been entrusted to the officers of the Railway Police.

 

On the other hand, Anand Vihar Railway Station's Commercial Inspector (CMI) Prahlad Singh said that we have stopped the platform ticket to stop the crowd. Due to this, people coming to drop off the passengers will not be able to come to the platform. He said that because of the increasing rush for Chhath Puja, the Railway Department has increased the number of regular trains and also started festival special trains.

 

7 is the number of special trains

According to the information received from Northern Railway, at present, the number of special trains is seven. If necessary, their number will also be increased. He said that for the festival, we are giving priority to the trains going towards Purvanchal so that the passengers can reach their homes on time.

 

Temporary waiting rooms and other counters made for passengers

The Railway Department has opened temporary waiting rooms, reservation counters, help centers, health check-up centers, and ticket booking centers for the convenience of the passengers.

To see the arrangements for regular trains going from Delhi to the districts of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Eastern Uttar Pradesh and special trains being run under Chhath Puja, Divisional Member of Railway Consumer Advisory Committee, Anand Trivedi visited Anand Vihar railway station on Wednesday.

Along with this, he also inspected the facilities made by the railways for the passengers going to their villages on Chhath Puja. His colleague Vinay Prajapati and concerned railway officers were present on this occasion. He said that keeping in view the proposed Bihar Yatra of Chhath fasting, the arrangements of the Railway Department are satisfactory.

 

Passenger Vikas Kumar says I am going to Muzaffarpur with my family. All our tickets have been confirmed. Traveling on a confirmed ticket during the festival is a pleasure in itself.

 

According to another passenger Jamuna Maharaj, I am satisfied to see the facilities of the railway. I am going to Jharkhand for Chhath Puja. It is heartening to see facilities like seating, rest, and help center for the elderly.
