Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will attend a program organized by the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare in New Delhi on Tuesday. Defense Ministry officials gave this information. The Defense Ministry in its statement said that he will be the chief guest at the 4th edition of the Armed Forces Flag Day Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conclave.

 

The objective is to emphasize the measures taken for rehabilitation and welfare

The objective of the event is to emphasize the measures taken by the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare for the rehabilitation, resettlement, and welfare of ex-servicemen, widows, and their dependents and mobilize CSR support for these efforts.

 

Rajnath Singh will also release the anthem song

A new website for the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF) will be launched by Rajnath Singh on the occasion. The new website is an interactive and user-friendly portal developed to promote online contributions to AFFDF. The minister will also release the anthem song for this year's campaign for the Armed Forces Flag Day. Also, will honor the major CSR contributors to the fund.

 

These top officials will also participate in this program

Corporate contributions to AFFDF are eligible towards meeting the CSR obligation under section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. It said that Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt, Defense Chief General Anil Chauhan, Defense Secretary Giridhar Armane, and other senior officials of the Ministry of Defense will also attend the event.
